The York City Youth Team
Appeal has broken its £10,000 target! Payments have now been
received from York Minstermen
of £1420, from their Spring Raffle and £350 from the Darts
Tournament, sponsored by Wards Hygienic Cladding. An additional anonymous
donation of £500 was received at the clubs offices on Wednesday
morning, breaking the £10,000 barrier.
Club Secretary, Nick Bassett
commented, " On behalf of York City, I would like to thank all
the supporters who have so generously donated to the appeal. The response
of our fans has been fantastic and they have helped us to take our
plans for the Youth Team forward next season".
The Club took on eight new Youth Trainees for this year and together
with the eight second year trainees, they will comprise the Youth
Team for the forthcoming season under the watchful eye of Coach Neil
Redfearn.
